Five Hurt In Crowd Crush At No Doubt Show

Three fans were hospitalized for minor injuries and two others were treated at the scene following a crowd crush near the end of No Doubt ’s set at Arizona’s Mesa Amphitheater on Wednesday night (8/2).

According to a Mesa Fire Department spokesperson, the victims suffered their injuries when they were crushed against a railing or trampled as the crowd pushed toward the stage. Most victims suffered cuts and bruises, the spokesperson said.

A teenaged witness who claimed to be near the front of the crowd told the Arizona Republic that she saw "a lot of people hurt," and that one girl was unconscious when she was carried from the amphitheater on a stretcher.

About 4,000 fans attended the show.
