Pennywise, Pepper extend Jagermeister Tour into June
Pennywise and Pepper tacked more shows onto their upcoming co-headlining trek, which serves as the latest incarnation of the Jagermeister Tour tacks on a batch of new dates.
The spring trek gets underway April 13 in Seattle, and will hit nightclubs and small theaters in about 30 cities across the country through late spring, including a run of newly added shows on the West Coast in late May and early June. The full schedule is included below.
"I grew up listening to Pennywise in Kona because they would always be featured on Taylor Steele surf videos," said Pepper drummer Yesod Williams in a press statement. "It was our soundtrack we'd listen to while heading to the beach. Co-headlining this tour with them is a milestone for us."
Pennywise worked with producer Cameron Webb (Social Distortion, Motorhead) on "Reason to Believe," its ninth studio album and the follow-up to 2005's "The Fuse."
The album, which surfaced last March, is "a combination of what our fans expect from us with a few curveballs thrown in here and there," said lead singer Jim Lindberg in a statement. "We have to be happy with what we're doing before anyone else, so it will all be about trying to challenge ourselves."
Pepper continues to support its fifth studio album, "Pink Crustaceans and Good Vibrations," which was released on its own Law Records imprint last July. The set was produced by The Butthole Surfers' Paul Leary, who also helped produce the group's previous effort, 2006's "No Shame." Songs from the set are streaming at the trio's MySpace page.
