Many fans missed 'N Sync's Chicago-area show on Tuesday (8/1) due to rush hour traffic, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. The show had originally been scheduled for a Sunday, a day with less traffic, but that show was cancelled when wind collapsed a stage that was in the process of being built. Promoters may decide to give out refunds to the fans who missed Tuesday's show.
Carlos Santana has designed a "Hard Rock Café Signature Series T-shirt." Proceeds will benefit Santana's Milagro Foundation, which assists youth organizations.
The anti-fur protester who threatened Ted Nugent last weekend was released, according to The Associated Press. The San Francisco District Attorney's office said that the charge was too vague, and that a security camera tape showed no contact between the man and Nugent.
Madonna 's label Warner Records has quashed rumors that she is to play several intimate U.K. club dates before the end of the year. The label also said that the singer has no 2001 world tour plans "at the moment."

Dope wants to play the state of New York's Attica Correctional Facility in order to draw attention to the incarceration of non-violent, drug-law offenders. The facility has not responded to the band's request.
The Associated Press reported that John Forte, backup singer for Carly Simon and producer for the Fugees, was arrested for conspiring to distribute almost 31 pounds of cocaine. Authorities claim to have recorded phone conversations in which Forte referred to the cocaine as "ice cream." The report didn't say if the phone conversation included:
--So I'll meet you at the airport with the ice cream.
[PAUSE]

--You know. [PAUSE] "Ice cream."
[PAUSE]
--Oh, "ice cream!" Right! Yeah, don't want to forget the "ice cream."
--Right.
--Love that "ice cream."
