Travis Can't Get Enough Of U.S. And Canada
LONDON--Scottish guitar band Travis heads to North America for a third time this year in September for an 11-date tour. The group, whose second album "The Man Who" has gone seven-times platinum in the U.K., aim to crack the U.S., where they have gone only as high as No. 135 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Travis' outing will kick off in Washington D.C. on September 5 and finish up and in Minneapolis on September 21. Travis was first in North America this year to support Oasis in April.
The group is best known for the songs "Why Does It Always Rain on Me?" "Driftwood" and "Writing to Reach You." It headlined England's Glastonbury Festival this year and also played at Denmark's tragedy-hit Roskilde Festival.
