Elvis Costello Aims At Debut Album
Elvis Costello and the Attractions mark their 30th anniversary with a Sept. 11 release of a new-and-improved edition of their renowned 1977 debut album, "My Aim Is True."
In addition to the album's original recordings, the 48-track, 2-disc "My Aim Is True Deluxe Edition" consists of 29 previously unreleased or new-to-CD demos, according to a press release.
The second disc in the set features a complete 1977 concert recorded at the Nashville Rooms in London. That show was held just two months after Costello's first live appearance. Other than the limited-release "Live at the El Mocambo," this is the first official CD of an entire Costello concert. The disc also features five songs from the show's sound check.
The set drops just 11 days in front of the anticipated Bob Dylan/Costello outing. The tour, with Costello supporting Dylan, kicks off Sept. 22 at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, GA.
