Alanis Morissette To Bring Unique Tour To Los Angeles

Alanis Morissette will conclude a unique three-week, eleven-country tour with a private performance at the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles on Aug. 17. The event will be made available on demand at the Club.Z.com website beginning on Sept. 12.

Dubbed “An Intimate Evening with Alanis Morissette,” the show will feature an acoustic live performance, a question-and-answer session with the singer, and an “audience participation multi-media presentation,” according to a statement released by Club.Z.com.

The Los Angeles concert will have an audience of about 300, and tickets are being awarded via a sweepstakes at the tour's official website. Others are being auctioned at Amazon Auctions through Aug. 15, with the proceeds earmarked for the Active Element Foundation and the Museum of Tolerance.

Each member of the audience at the Los Angeles concert will be asked to join Morissette in “painting a square that will be assembled into a patchwork painting…which represents the evening’s themes of sharing, expressing and unity.”

Morissette’s current tour has visited many countries that aren’t normally exposed to live North American music. Among the tour's stops were Croatia, Turkey and Lebanon. A series of “webisodes” from the tour are available at the tour’s website.
