Charts: "NOW Vol. 4" Remains The Top-Selling U.S. Album

“NOW That’s What I Call Music Vol. 4,” a compilation album comprised entirely of previously released tracks by artists such as Britney Spears , Backstreet Boys, Lenny Kravitz and Blink-182, has topped the Billboard 200 album chart for the third week in a row, according to UTV Records. Sting ’s “Brand New Day,” meanwhile, has climbed into the Top 10 for the first time since its release last September, according to Interscope.

“NOW Vol. 4” sold roughly 240,000 copies this week, and has sold over 800,000 copies total since its release, the UTV spokesperson said.

Spears’ “Oops! … I Did It Again,” meanwhile, has hung on to its No. 2 position for the fourth week in a row with sales of only about 2,000 units less than “NOW Vol. 4.” “Oops!” has sold over 4,700,000 copies since its release earlier this summer.

Nelly ’s debut album “Country Grammar” stays at No. 3 for the third week in a row, and Eminem’s “The Marshall Mathers LP” remains at No. 4. “Marshall Mathers” sold 218,117 copies last week, and has sold 5,635,629 copies since its release, according to Interscope.

‘N Sync’s “No Strings Attached” has also held fast this week at No. 5 with sales of roughly 164,000 copies. The album boasts total sales in excess of 7 million copies to date.

Creed’s “Human Clay” and Papa Roach’s “Infest” trade places this week, with “Human Clay” in the No. 6 slot and “Infest” at No. 7. 3 Doors Down’s “Better Life,” meanwhile, stays put at No. 8, as does “The Nutty Professor II” soundtrack at No. 9.

Sting’s “Brand New Day,” meanwhile, pushed its way from its previous peak position at No. 13 up to No. 10. The album debuted at No. 15 after its release last September, but did not crack the Top 10 until this week, with sales of 75,561 copies, according to Interscope. "Desert Rose," the latest single from the album, is featured in a TV advertisement for Jaguar.
