Arcade Fire Members Join Bruce Springsteen On Stage In Ottawa
As Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band pushed their tour into Canada, Springsteen continued to shake up the setlist, bringing in tour premieres of "Tougher Than The Rest," "Backstreets" and "State Trooper" on Sunday (10/14).
During the encores, Springsteen invited Arcade Fire members Win Butler and Régine Chassagne to the stage to join the E Street Band on "State Trooper" (a song they've covered live) and returned the compliment by taking the assembled multitude through a pass at AF's own "Keep The Car Running."
Initial reports indicate that Springsteen kept them around for the nightly barn-burner treatment of "Born To Run," which is also reported on the setlist posted on Bruce Springsteen's official website. However, several eyewitness reports across the blogosphere dispute that point. We'll leave it to the inevitable Flickr and YouTube evidence to settle the issue.
