Foxy Brown Refuses To Get On The Bus

Foxy Brown, who is serving a one-year jail term, refused to get on a correction department bus last week for an Oct. 12 court appearance, according to the Associated Press. The rapper was arrested in August for allegedly striking a woman who complained Brown was blasting her car stereo too loud.

Brown refused twice to get on the bus that was to take her from Rikers Island prison to be arraigned in Brooklyn Supreme Court. She is now scheduled to appear in court Oct. 16, according to the prosecutor's office. If she refuses again, the court could issue an order allowing correction officers to put her in handcuffs and force her onto the bus.

Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, is serving a year in jail for violating probation after she skipped her court-ordered anger management classes and traveled out of the city without permission. The probation stemmed from her fight with two manicurists at a New York City nail salon three years ago.

Despite her legal trouble, Brown will release her new album, "Brooklyn's Don Diva," Nov. 20
