Britney Spears Loses Child Visitation Rights
Britney Spears' limited visitation with her sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, was suspended until she complies with all orders set by Los Angeles County Commissioner Scott Gordon, according to reports. The order, handed down Oct. 18, does not specify why Commissioner Gordon has decided to revoke the pop star's rights to spend time with her boys.
A lawyer for Spears' ex-husband, Kevin Federline, went to court the day prior to the new order seeking an emergency hearing. No official reasons for the attorney's urgent court appearance or Spears' visitation suspension have been made available to the press. However, some Brit-watchers reportedly claim she violated the court's order to provide contact information to the people who were supposed to conduct her court-ordered drug testing.
In related news, Spears' reportedly has settled the civil case that stemmed from a hit and run in a Los Angeles parking lot last August. Sources told TMZ.com Spears' agreed to pay the car owner approximately $1,000 for damages plus rental car expenses. The settlement may inspire the courts to drop the criminal hit and run charges however, the charge of driving without a license is likely to stick.
