The Livedaily.com Interview: Kid Rock
"I grew up listening to Johnny Cash and Skynryd and all that, but at the same time I had this love for rap and the turntables. There's a lot of kids like me." This, by way of introduction, is how Detroit-based rapper Kid Rock positions himself in the spectrum of where his generation and his target audience -- middle America -- come from. Often profane and consistently edgy, his work has aligned him with members of Limp Bizkit, the Beastie Boys and Motley Crue. Livedaily.com contributing editor Michelle Wong recently had the opportunity to hold a lengthy conversation with Kid Rock as he works his current release, Devil Without A Cause.
