Foxy Brown Placed In Solitary Confinement

Rapper Foxy Brown--who is currently serving a year at New York's Rikers Island jail for violating her probation in a case stemming from a fight she had with manicurists at a New York City nail salon--has been slapped with 76 days in "punitive segregation" after getting into a fight with another inmate, according to the Associated Press.

Brown and another inmate reportedly got into a shoving match and, though neither was hurt, Brown compounded her troubles by being "abusive toward correction guards" and refusing to take a random drug trust, the combination of which led to her 76-day term in segregation.

Inmates can spend up to 23 hours a day in isolation when placed in punitive segregation, according to AP.
