Gwen Stefani Comes To The Aid Of Fire Victims
Gwen Stefani has earmarked the proceeds from tonight's (10/30) concert at the Cox Arena in San Diego to benefit the victims of the area's recent fires, according to a press release.
Stefani made the announcement with Mayor Jerry Sanders on local radio station KHTS. "When I heard about the devastation of the fires, at first I felt I should cancel my show out of respect," Stefani said during the radio broadcast. "But then it occurred to me there might be a more useful solution."
The money raised by the concert will support The San Diego Foundation's After-the-Fires Fund 2007, according to the release.
Stefani is nearing the end of her worldwide "The Sweet Escape Tour," which wraps Nov. 3 in Santa Barbara.
