A two-CD retrospective of Tupac Shakur's brief but extraordinary career will be released Dec 4. "The Best of 2Pac - Part 1: Thug" and "The Best of 2Pac - Part 2: Life" each contain nine classic tracks. Each album also features previously unreleased recording and one new remix, according to a press release.

The collections, assembled with the assistance of 2Pac's mother, Afeni Shakur," will be available in edited and explicit versions.

A portion of the profits from the albums will go to the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation. The TASF was founded by Afeni Shakur to provide training and support to artists who aspire to enhance their creative talents.
