Billy Ray And Miley Cyrus To Host CMT Music Awards

Miley Cyrus and her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus , will host the 2008 CMT Music Awards, airing live Apr. 14 from The Curb Event Center at Belmont University in Nashville., according to a press release. The father and daughter duo will also perform together at CMT's seventh annual awards show. Previously-announced performers include Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Sugarland, Taylor Swift and Toby Keith.

Both Miley and Billy Ray are scheduled to begin production in Nashville this spring on "The Hannah Montana Movie" to be followed by the taping of the third season of the Hannah Montana TV show. In addition to his Hannah Montana work, Billy Ray will be featured in two upcoming films, "Flying By," co-starring Heather Locklear, and "Bait Shop," co-starring Bill Engvall. Miley is currently writing material for her forthcoming studio album due later this year.
