Rothbury Adds The Mickey Hart Band, The Wailers

The Mickey Hart Band (featuring George Porter Jr. and Steve Kimock), The Wailers , Rodrigo Y Gabriela and Trampled by Turtles are the most recent acts to join the lineup of the Rothbury festival, according to a press release. Previously announced acts for the July 4th weekend concert at the Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, MI, include Dave Matthews Band, Widespread Panic, John Mayer, 311, Snoop Dogg, Modest Mouse, and Michael Franti and Spearhead among many others.

Organizers of the Rothbury festival call the event "a party with a purpose." In addition to the music, Rothbury will host an on-site Think Tank and Energy Fair. Rothbury organizers hope to inspire the live music community to take a stand toward the causes of climate change and clean energy alternatives. Rothbury is committed to producing a near zero-waste concert, according to the statement. Rothbury will have an on-staff Greening Chief and will support its effort by recycling and composting, choosing clean energy, carbon-offsetting, offering Green Ticket options, and replacing disposables with 100% compostables.
