Wynonna Judd Performs For Tornado Victims

Wynonna Judd headlined a concert Feb. 29 to benefit the American Red Cross in Williamson County, TN, according to published reports. The county was just one in Tennessee that was affected by the Feb. 5 tornadoes which left more than 30 people dead.

Joining Judd for the benefit concert were the Fox Brothers of Williamson County, the Palmetto State Quartet and the Leiper's Fork Bluegrass Band. Judd's barn and part of her home reportedly were hit during the storms, but her stepfather, Larry Strickland, told a local television station that the performer's neighbors got hit much worse.

In related news, Vince Gill and Amy Grant headlined a benefit concert Mar. 2 in Franklin, TN, also located in Williamson County, which is one of several counties eligible for federal disaster aid due to the February tornadoes.
