This Southern quintet, innocently named after a brand of tea, creates hauntingly contemplative rock songs with memorable titles like "Wrestle With God" and "Ten Dead Dogs." Lead singer Preston Lovinggood commandeers the group and most of the songwriting, coupling downtrodden subjects with exhilarating, emotive rock that turns the tide of despair. "The Whale," their wildly successful 2007 EP, has garnered praise throughout the industry. The boys are currently finishing up their debut album with Canvasback/Columbia Records. Performing Wednesday, March 12 at 1 a.m. at Creekside EMC at Hilton Garden Inn (500 N. IH-35).
