New Dr. Dre Book To Be Released This Week

A new book about Dr. Dre , "Rollin With Dre: The Unauthorized Account: An Insider's Tale of the Rise, Fall and Rebirth of West Coast Hip Hop," is scheduled to hit stores tomorrow (3/25), according to Random House books.

The book--written by long-time friend and former right-hand man to Dre, Bruce Williams, with frequent LiveDaily contributor Donnell Alexander--chronicles Dre's early days with N.W.A. and his partnership with Suge Knight at Death Row Records, as well as his role in the careers of several recording artists including Eminem, 50 Cent and The Game. Williams and Alexander also examine the deadly feud between east coast and west coast rappers, and its repercussions on artists including Tupac Shakur.

The book also touches on Dre's reconciliation with N.W.A. bandmate Eazy-E before E's death, Dre's practical joke on Will Smith and what it was like "rollin' with giants and legends-in-the-making--and living the life (and bearing the burdens) as a bona-fide master of the game," according to a press release.
