Country crooner Eddy Arnold, considered one of the most successful country singers in history, died Thursday at a care facility near Nashville. His death came just one week before his 90th birthday. Arnold, the first person to receive the Entertainer of the Year award from the Country Music Association, was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1966.
