Paul Weller Takes Tour To U.S. Before Heading Home

LONDON--Following his current European festival tour, Paul Weller will embark on a ten-date U.S. tour beginning in Boston on October 6. The former Style Council and Jam frontman’s U.S. dates are to be preceded by six September dates and more European dates at the end of October.

Paul Weller’s last live appearance was at England’s V2000 Festival in Chelmsford, England, last weekend, at which he had planned a surprise duet with Oasis’ Noel Gallagher; festival organizers pulled the plug on that number, as Weller's set was already running 15 minutes late. The Modfather’s next festival date is on Friday (8/25) at Glasgow Green in Scotland.

Since going solo at the beginning of the ‘90s, Weller has released five solo albums which have been highly praised by the British press. The latest, "Heliocentric," was released in the U.K. in April and in the U.S. in July.
