"American Idol" Producers Stop David Archuleta Show

" American Idol " producers pulled the plug on a David Archuleta concert scheduled for last weekend (6/6) at the E Center in Salt Lake City, the singer's hometown, according to published reports.

Plans for the charity concert fell through due to a misunderstanding with the contractual obligations with "AI," Archuleta's grandfather told the Desert News. "Idol" finalists reportedly are under contract with producers 19 Entertainment until the end of the "AI" summer tour. The tour is scheduled for two nights at the E Center, July 14 and 15. After the tour wraps, finalists are free to make appearances when and where they wish.
