Country Superstars Support Military Children

Martina McBride , Randy Travis and Kenny Rogers recently contributed songs to the "Patriotic Country 3" CD, which is being released June 24 to raise money and awareness for Our Military Kids, an organization that benefits children of deployed or severely injured National Guard and Reserve Military Personnel.

A portion of the proceeds from this third instillation of the "Patriotic Country" series have been earmarked for grants that help children start or continue participation in sports, fine arts or tutoring programs while their parent is away or recovering from serious injury, according to a press release.

The disc features 17 tracks including McBride's No. 1 song, "Blessed" and the Gold-certified "My Front Porch Lookin' In" by Lonestar. The set also features songs by country music legends Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings. Other cuts on the disc include "Politically Uncorrect" by Gretchen Wilson, "I'm From The Country," by Tracy Byrd, "God Bless America" by LeAnn Rimes, "If I Don't Make It Back," by Tracy Lawrence and "Heroes and Friends," by Randy Travis.
