Kenny Chesney On Satellite Radio

Kenny Chesney will soon launch his own XM Radio channel, "No Shoes Radio," which will feature music across his entire catalog including hits, rare and obscure cuts, and never-before-heard tunes. Music and other content for the channel--which is being designed as a tie-in to the singer's 2008 "Poets & Pirates" tour--will be captured during the tour, on the bus, in the backstage halls, at soundchecks, during post-show jam sessions, and in the parking lot during pre-concert tailgate parties, according to a press release. Chesney also will welcome guests, friends and fans to drop-in for the "ad hoc merriment."

"No Shoes Radio," which launches July 26, also will feature music beyond Chesney's catalog. In a statement, the singer said he will personally select songs from artists who have influenced his music as well as the type of tunes one might hear wafting through the halls backstage during his tour. The Chesney station, which will be available on XM channel 18, also will air an uncut, exclusive concert recorded during the "Poets & Pirates" tour.

"No Shoes Radio," which will be available through Oct. 25, also will be streamed for an additional three months on XM Radio Online. Complete programming information will soon be available at XM Radio's website.
