Moody Blues' First Albums Reissued

The Moody Blues are scheduled to re-release their first seven albums July 15. Each disc will contain the complete original album plus exclusive bonus tracks, alternate versions, radio sessions and outtakes, according to a press release.

The band's first four releases with its most popular lineup--"Days of Future Passed," "In Search of the Lost Chord," "On the Threshold of a Dream," and "To Our Children's Children's Children"--originally were released in the late1960s. (The group was first a blues-rock outfit, but it re-emerged with a new lineup and new sound with the 1967's "Days.")

In 1970, the band released "A Question of Balance," followed by "Every Good Boy Deserves Favour," and "Seventh Sojourn."

The collection contains several of the band's best-known songs including "Nights in White Satin," "Tuesday Afternoon," and "I'm Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band)."

The Moody Blues will hit the road in September and October for a tour of the UK and Europe.
