J Geils Band To Preview Reunion Tour With Letterman Performance
The J Geils Band will appear in public for the first time since breaking up sixteen years ago with a guest slot on the David Letterman show on May 21st. The reunited group will take part in a special Letterman show set in Boston, not far from the spot where they played their last show together in January of 1983.
A month-long tour will follow, set to play Midwest and Northeast amphitheatres and arenas from June 23rd through July 17th.
The touring group will feature original members Peter Wolf, Seth Justman, J Geils, Danny Klein and Magic Dick, all of whom appeared on the band's self-titled first album in 1970 and stayed with the group from their blues and boogie era in the 70's through their MTV-fueled successes of the early 80's, including Centerfold and Freeze-Frame.
