Dr. Dre Says Long-Awaited "Detox" Is Coming Soon

Dr. Dre 's third solo album, "Detox," may be released before the end of the year--nine years after the release of his most recent album, the six-times platinum "2001." Dre, whose real name is Andre Young," told the USA Today he is shooting for a November or December release, though no specific date has been set.

Dre, who has been working on the album on and off for four years, said "Detox" will be an "entirely new thing," with beats heavily driven by live drums. He also has recruited several guest artists for the album including Lil Wayne, Nas and Jay-Z.

Dre plans on touring after the album's release, however no details have been announced.
