Report: AC/DC Leads Swarm Of Acts Hitting Tour Trail

Legendary Australian rockers AC/DC reportedly are poised to set out on a year-and-a-half-long tour this fall, and will be just one of many big-name acts making the rounds in the coming months.

News of AC/DC's impending roadtrip came yesterday (7/28) at the 83rd annual IAAM conference and trade show in Anaheim, CA, when Creative Artists Agency managing partner Rob Light revealed the veteran rock outfit's plans during a panel discussion, according to Billboard.com. The group will be supporting an as-yet-untitled album that will be distributed exclusively via Wal-Mart, and a single is expected to surface at radio stations next month.

Other acts Light reportedly said are set to hit the road in the near future include Eric Clapton , Stevie Wonder , Mariah Carey , Christina Aguilera , Depeche Mode , Shakira , Green Day , Kid Rock , Usher, Robin Williams, Miley Cyrus, Slipknot, John Mayer, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw and, possibly, KISS , according to Billboard.

Bands reportedly eyeing 2009 roadwork include OneRepublic, Plain White T's, Jack's Mannequin, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Weezer, The Killers and Journey.
