American Idol David Cook preps fall release
David Cook 's debut album, due out this fall, will be produced by Rob Cavallo, who is best known for his work with Green Day.
The American Idol winner has been recording the album between American Idols Live tour dates. Cook is co-writing many of the album tracks with some of music's hottest rock songwriters, according to a press release. However, no names have been made available.
The 25-year-old performer set a record earlier this summer when 11 of his songs entered the Hot 100 chart in the same week--the most new entries by an artist in the 50-year history of the chart.
