New Elvis Presley holiday duets

An album of Elvis Presley Christmas duets, featuring top country artists including Wynonna Judd and Carrie Underwood, will be released Oct. 14, 31 years after Presley's death.

"Elvis Presley Christmas Duets" features Underwood on "I'll Be Home For Christmas," Judd singing "Santa Claus Is Back In Town, Martina McBride on "Blue Christmas," and Gretchen Wilson on "Merry Christmas Baby." Other artists featured on the holiday disc include LeAnn Rimes, Sara Evans, Anne Murry, Amy Grant, and Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman of Little Big Town.

To be as faithful as possible to Presley's original songs, the new disc was recorded at the same studio Presley recorded the original 1971 Christmas session, according to a press release.

Sample tracks will be previewed at an Aug. 14 listening party, which is being held during 2008 Elvis week, at the Elvis Insiders Conference in Memphis.
