Mercury Rev to release free companion album

Mercury Rev 's companion album to "Snowflake Midnight," will be made available for free download Sept. 30 at mercuryrev.com and yeproc.com. The mostly instrumental full-length album, "Strange Attractor," also will come packaged as one half of a double-vinyl release containing both albums, according to a press release.
The first single from "Snowflake Midnight," "Senses On Fire," can be heard on the band's MySpace page and an mp3 is available for no charge by joining the band's mailing list via its website.
