Jay-Z to christen renovated Hollywood Palladium
Jay-Z will perform Oct. 15 at the grand reopening of the Hollywood Palladium. The Grammy award-winning performer, backed by a 12-piece band, will be the first artist to play at the newly renovated venue, which has undergone a year-long, top-to-bottom overhaul, according to a press release.
The Hollywood Palladium first opened in Sept. 1940 with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra featuring the soon-to-be-famous Frank Sinatra.
The venue became a television studio in 1961, hosting events such as the Emmy Awards and the Grammy Awards.
