The Dandy Warhols Plot North American Club Tour
College favorites the Dandy Warhols have announced a 16-date North American club tour to follow their European summer tour. The band is on the road in support of its third album, "Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia," which was released in June.
Creeper Lagoon will occupy the opening slot on the tour, which is scheduled to start on Sept. 29 in Nashville.
More North American dates are expected to commence in November after the Dandys play six dates in Australia.
The five-piece--which has a large following in the U.K. due to its "British Invasion" sound--was formed in Portland, Ore., in 1992 after frontman Courtney Taylor quit playing drums for glam band Beauty Stab. The Dandy Warhols released their first album "Dandy’s Rule O.K.?" in 1995, followed by "Dandy Warhols Come Down" in 1997.
