Since forming in 1996, Calexico [ tickets ], an eclectic rock group based in Tucson, AZ, has established spread its musical roots since forming in 1996. The two main members, front man Joey Burns and drummer John Convertino, surround themselves with a variety of guest musicians on a regular basis, including current members Jacob Valenzuela and Martin Wenk on trumpet, Volker Zander on upright bass and pedal steel player Paul Niehaus. Along with regular record releases, the crew also contributes to film scores and soundtracks, including the upcoming "Love Ranch."
