Ani DiFranco Tour Dates Stretch Into November

Ani DiFranco is in the midst of a fall tour that is scheduled to keep her on the road until Nov. 19, according to tour organizers. DiFranco is touring in support of “Swing Set,” an EP released in July on her Righteous Babe record label.
The 6-song EP comes in the wake of 1999's full-length album “To the Teeth,” which features the track “Swing.” Two different versions of that song appear on “Swing Set,” as does a different version of the song “To the Teeth." The EP also features cover versions of Woody Guthrie’s “Do Re Me,” Phil Ochs’ “When I’m Gone” and Bob Dylan’s “Hurricane.”
A singer, guitarist and prolific songwriter, the entrepreneurial DiFranco got her start in New York in the late ‘80s, where she played coffeehouses and distributed self-made tapes of her original recordings. She ultimately founded Righteous Babe, through which she has financed and produced all of her own albums.
DiFranco is renowned for her catalog of folk-rock songs that deal with political and social issues. Her works have garnered her four Grammy nominations, and VH1 included her in its 1999 list of the "100 Greatest Women of Rock," according to her publicity bio.
