Widespread Panic to perform at Bill Graham benefit concert

Widespread Panic will perform at this year's Bill Graham Memorial Foundation benefit concert Nov. 19 at The Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza, according to a press release.

The concert is a tribute and benefit for the foundation, which is dedicated to preserving the life and work of rock impresario and concert producer Bill Graham, who founded The Fillmore clubs in both San Francisco and New York in the 1960s.

The Bill Graham Memorial Foundation has provided grants of nearly $2 million to organizations in the fields of music and arts education, social work, environmental protection, spiritual and compassionate projects. The foundation seeks to assist those whose needs are often not served by larger philanthropic organizations.

This year's event, the second Graham benefit concert, coincides with Widespread Panic receiving the first ever Billboard Road Warrior Award at the Billboard Touring Conference in New York.
