Dr Pepper celebrates new Guns N' Roses release with free sodas
The Dr Pepper company plans to make good on its promise to give all Americans a free soda if Guns N' Roses releases its album "Chinese Democracy" before the end of the year.
Earlier this year, the company promised that each and every American would receive a free Dr Pepper if Axl Rose finally released the album, which has been 17 years in the making.
The band recently confirmed the album would be released Nov. 23 on CD, vinyl and digitally.
"We never thought this day would come," Dr Pepper VP of marketing Tony Jacobs said in a statement. "But now that it's here all we can say is: The Dr Pepper's on us."
Coupons for a free 20-oz. Dr Pepper will be available for 24 hours starting at 12:01 am Eastern Time on Nov. 23. More information on how to receive a coupon is available at the Dr Pepper website.
