Britney Spears' father named permanent conservator
A Los Angeles court yesterday (10/28) named Britney Spears ' father permanent conservator of his daughter's affairs, according to a People.com report. Jamie Spears also was named permanent co-conservator of her estate, along with attorney Andrew Wallet.
The singer's court-appointed lawyer reportedly said Spears requested he not object to the permanent conservatorship.
A source close to Spears told the magazine that the conservatorship is not expected to last forever and was only made permanent in name to ensure Spears had increased time with her children. The decision also was reportedly put into place to provide support for Spears' music and work goals.
