Springsteen pulls plug on Halloween display
Bruce Springsteen --who, in recent years, has hosted an extravagant Halloween display at his New Jersey mansion--is killing the tradition this time around.
"So as not to inconvenience you this Halloween, due to 'catastrophic success' (read: too many visitors for the neighborhood to handle) and concern for the safety of kids and parents, we won't be having our usual Halloween display this year in Rumson," Springsteen and wife Patti Scialfa wrote in a message to their "friends and neighbors" posted at Springsteen's website. "We wish everyone a safe and Happy Halloween!"
