Fellow high school gym class students Travis "Schleprok" McCoy (vocals) and Matt McGinley (drums) formed the band Gym Class Heroes in 1997, and soon found themselves playing regular gigs in their native Geneva, NY. They progressed from playing at birthday parties and clubs to larger venues and festivals.

By 2003, the alt hip-hop band got its first taste of fame when it was added to the Vans Warped Tour lineup. It turned out to be a good fit; the group has played the tour nearly every year since. But Gym Class Heroes' first big break came when Fall Out Boy 's Pete Wentz signed them to his label Decaydance Records, which released popular albums such as "The Papercut Chronicles" and "As Cruel as School Children."

LiveDaily photographer Tim Mosenfelder attended Gym Class Heroes' set at KIIS FM's 10th Annual Wango Tango last year in Irvine, CA, and took photos of their performance.
