Report: New Springsteen album in the pipeline

Bruce Springsteen is aiming to release a new album early next year, claims the popular Springsteen fan site Backstreets.com.

According to the site, which has a history of providing reliable information about The Boss, the song "Workin' on a Dream"--a new cut Springsteen and wife Patti Scialfa unveiled live during a Sunday (11/2) performance in Ohio at a rally for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama--is one of the tracks that will likely turn up on an album that Springsteen has been working on this fall. The site goes on to say that the new set is expected to see release "around the time of the Presidential Inauguration in January 2009."

Springsteen has not yet made any official announcement about plans to release a new album, and a spokesperson for him could not be reached at press time.
