The members of Chicago melodic-punk band Rise Against [ tickets ] are probably impressed with California voters for passing Prop 2 last week--the ballot measure calling for more humane treatment of farm animals--as they are all strict vegetarians and active supporters of PETA. If you've seen the video for "Ready to Fall," you are already well aware of their stance on the matter.

Speaking on the subject of politics with LiveDaily's Christina Fuoco-Karasinski, bassist Joe Principe recently said, "The political side of this band is just that--it's a side. "... We just like to present our views and ask that people listen and make up their own minds. That's what's great about living here. You can make up your own mind."

Currently touring in support of their fifth studio album, "Appeal To Reason," which debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 chart last month, fans can catch Rise Against in cities all across the US and Canada through early December.
