Known for sweet-sounding pop songs such as the ubiquitous "The Way I Am," New York-based Ingrid Michaelson [ tickets ] has primetime television largely to thank for her propulsion into mainstream radio. Raised by artistic parents and schooled on the piano from an early age, the indie songstress has contributed a handful of happy-go-lucky tracks to hit shows like "Grey's Anatomy" and "One Tree Hill," and even an ad campaign for Old Navy. Her 2007 debut, "Girls and Boys"--full of relationship woes, personal pep talks and love-induced chatter--wooed fans of insightfully sentimental pop.

Michaelson self-released her sophomore album, "Be OK," in mid-October on her own imprint, Cabin 24 Records, and followed it up with a fall tour. She'll continue her US trek through the middle of December, when she performs her second annual Holiday Hop in New York City.
