Christina Aguilera joins Grammy nomination concert event
Christina Aguilera will join previously announced performers Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, the Foo Fighters, B.B. King and John Mayer at "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! - Countdown to Music's Biggest Night," scheduled to take place Dec. 3 at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre L.A. Live. The one-hour concert special, hosted by LL Cool J and Taylor Swift, will be broadcast on CBS-TV.
In addition to performances by previous Grammy winners, nominees in "at least six categories" for next year's Grammy Awards will be announced, according to a press release.
The live telecast, which will mark the grand opening of the venue's new Grammy Museum, reportedly will be followed by a one-hour exclusive concert by one of the evening's performers.
Proceeds from the nomination and concert event will go to the Grammy Museum, which will open to the public the following day (12/4).
The 51st Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will air Feb. 8 on CBS.
