Rapper MC Breed dead at 37

MC Breed , a native of Flint, MI, best known for his 1991 hit "Ain't No Future in Yo' Frontin'," died Saturday (11/22) of kidney failure. The rapper, whose real name was Eric Breed, was 37.

Breed issued 13 albums of the course of his career--most recently 2004's "The New Perscription"--though none was as successful as his debut, "MC Breed & DFC," on which "Frontin'" appears.

The rapper had financial troubles in recent years, spending time in jail in 2006 and in April of this year for failing to pay child support for his four children.

In September, Breed reportedly collapsed while playing basketball in Atlanta, and was hospitalized for kidney failure.
