Velvet Revolver cuts ties with RCA
Velvet Revolver has ended its affiliation with RCA Records, according to a press release.
Band members Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum and Dave Kushner asked to be released from their recording contract in June so they could focus on finding a new lead singer to replace Scott Weiland.
The band members felt they needed to have complete freedom from any timelines, pressures, influences or interests other than finding the best person to front the band, and, according to the press release, RCA Records understood and honored the band's request.
