Live Earth India canceled

Live Earth India has been canceled due to the recent attacks in Mumbai, where the event was scheduled to take place Dec. 7.

"Everyone involved with Live Earth India ... is stunned and saddened by the tragic events of the past few days in our host city Mumbai," Live Earth Founder Kevin Wall, Al Gore and IPCC chairman Dr. R.K. Pachauri said in a joint statement. "We will continue to work for solutions to the climate crisis for the good of the people of India and around the world. But for now, our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this terrible attack and with the bereaved, with the people of Mumbai and with everyone in India."

Any forthcoming updates will be posted at the Live Earth website.
