Featured Photos: Thievery Corporation, Treasure Island Festival, San Francsico CA - Setp. 15, 2007

With a name like Thievery Corporation , it's clear co-founders Rob Garza and Eric Hilton are not channeling subtlety.

Aside from their political bent, the Washington, DC, natives create a unique sound, combining their DJ skills to produce a fusion of trip-hop and acid jazz that integrates diverse elements like Indian sitar and Brazilian bossa nova. Their live show is never the same twice, with alternating musicians, special guests and belly dancers.

Currently gearing up to tour in support of their latest album, "Radio Retaliation," fans can catch their
kick-off show in San Francisco on New Years Eve. Dates on the Eastern side of the US and Canada will begin near the end of January.

Thievery Corporation was one of the headlining bands at the very first Treasure Island Music Festival in 2007. Here are some of the photos I took of their set.
