Springsteen memorabilia returned to library
More than 1,000 pieces of Bruce Springsteen memorabilia have been returned to the Asbury Park Public Library after library officials filed a police complaint against the people who had taken it, according to an Associated Press report.
Members of the Friends of the Bruce Springsteen Special Collection, who reportedly took the memorabilia in 2007 to be microfilmed, claim the group owns the collection. However, the library disagrees and filed a complaint Tuesday (12/9) against two members.
The Friends group returned the material, which included hundreds of books, articles and tour programs.
Library officials said the charges won't be pursued as long as the memorabilia is in good shape.
