Three-time Grammy winners Los Lobos recently wrapped up a pre-holiday mini-tour with fellow SoCal roots-rockers The Blasters . During their stop last weekend (12/12) at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA, LiveDaily's Richard Tafoya wrote up a review and took some photos.

The crowd seemed thrilled with the set lists of both bands, which were packed with familiar tunes. The Blasters' set included "Dark Night," and the James Brown cover "Please Please Please," among many others, while Los Lobos drew from much of their extensive catalog, including highlights such as "I Got Loaded" and "Kiko."

Referring specifically to the finale, when the bands performed together on stage, Tafoya noted, "… this part of the show was probably as close to an historic re-creation of the two bands jamming together at Madame Wong's in the early '80s as anyone's likely to see again. The good old days weren't polished, and to their credit, neither The Blasters nor Los Lobos can be called "polished" 35 years down the road."
